A MALVERN pub will hold a three-day music festival featuring a number of award-winning acts.

The Retired Soldier hosts the free event from Friday to Sunday, July 12 to 14.

Among those taking to the stage will be Debbie Parry from Sax Appeal and Andy the guitarist – the pair will form a duo.

On Saturday there will be Jess Dixon performing. She is the daughter of Admiral Taverns’ business development manager Rachel Dixon.

Bringing down the curtain will be Debbie and Sax Appeal, featuring popular covers, including ‘Oh What a Night’ and ‘Rehab’.

There will also be a barbecue throughout the weekend and a variety of ales, ciders, wines and spirits.

Licensee Sharon Clifton, who runs the pub with husband Phil, said: “We are incredibly excited to be hosting such a spectacular range of music for the community to enjoy.

“This will be the first festival of many, with a fantastic line up planned throughout the summer.”

Rachael added: “Phil and Sharon have put so much hard work into this event and it’s great to see them pulling out all the stops to create a weekend their customers won’t forget.”
