A SELECTION of artwork by Malvern pupils has been shortlisted to be shown as part of an exhibit at London’s Natural History Museum.

The work by a group of 58 students from St James’ Primary School was chosen from entries from around the world including Zambia, Kenya, Hong Kong and Dubai.

The pupils now have to wait until March 19 to find out if their artwork will be showcased in the new look art and poetry exhibition.

The Global Canvas Art and Poetry competition is being run by the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF).

David Shepherd, wildlife artist and DSWF founder, said more than 1,200 children and teachers from all over the world had sent in entries.

He added: “It’s heart-warming to know the next generation is passionate enough to make a difference.”
