A MALVERN salon has made it its mission to raise awareness of ovarian cancer after one team member lost her mum to the disease last year.
Jackie Munrowd, who meets and greets clients as the front of house receptionist at Belle Beauty in Malvern Road, was devastated after her mother Peggy passed away from ovarian cancer in 2018.
She has teamed up with Target Ovarian Cancer – the UK’s leading ovarian cancer charity to raise funds and awareness of the disease.
A variety of fund-raisers has seen Jackie raise more than £400 so far to support the charity and the caring receptionist said she had been overwhelmed by people’s generosity.
“People have been donating money, prizes and the team at Belle Beauty have been amazing allowing me to use the salon as a platform to raise awareness,” she said.
