A WELL established garden society are set to exhibit their work at Malvern’s Spring Festival after a four year absence.
The 40-year-old Cottage Garden Society (CGS) will be showcasing their ‘beautiful’ greenery at the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Malvern Spring Festival to share the art of growing plants.
Volunteer members from the CGS Cotswold Group and friends are working hard behind the scenes to build a display which aims to appeal to everyone from children and beginner gardeners to the most experienced ones.
The CGS display entitled ‘Grow it in Pots’ looks to inspire everyone to see how easy it is to grow plants from seeds and create a colourful and eco-friendly display of blooms, fruits, vegetables and herbs.
The Cottage Garden Society stand will be found in the Floral Marquee at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival, which runs from May 9-12.
Sue Clarke, chair of the CGS said: “We are really looking forward to attending The Malvern Spring Show after an absence of four years. This show is one of the first of the year and really inspires people to get ‘growing’.
“Thinking about the biodiversity of the creatures which live in our garden spaces, bee and pollinator plants and introducing bug hotels can provide a good starting point.
“Even if you only have a window box or container anyone can grow in the ‘Cottage Garden Style’ with not only flowering plants, but also fruits, vegetables and herbs.”
