A PROLIFIC Malvern shoplifter has been given a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) for two years that bans her from multiple stores in the town.
Jodie Green, 33, of Elgar Avenue, was also handed an eight-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, at Worcester Magistrates Court today (Friday).
Green (pictured) was given the CBO which lasts until December 12, 2027 and prohibits her from entering several stores.
These include Co-op, Worcester Road, Tesco Express, Madresfield Road, B&M Stores, Church Walk, One Stop Shop, Poolbrook Road, Co-op, Barnards Green Road, Sainsburys, Buttercup Walk and Elgar Convenience Store, Elgar Avenue – all in Malvern
She is further prohibited from being in any retail premises with three named individuals and from refusing to leave a premises when asked by someone who has authority to do so.
Sgt Jason Maiden, of Malvern SNT, said: “We are pleased to get this CBO for Green who is a prolific shoplifter in the town.”
He urged anyone who saw her breaching the order to call 101 to report it.
And he added: “It follows Wednesday’s sentencing of her brother Jordan at court and shows we will continue to clamp down on retail crime and put those involved before the courts.
“Shoplifting can affect retail prices, insurance premiums and damages local communities through fear of crime so we will not let up on our efforts to stamp it out.”
