STAFF and pupils at Malvern St James Girls’ School did not let the snowy weather dampen their spirits for World Book Day.
Hermione Grainger, Gangsta Granny, Captain Hook, several Cats in Hats and even Cinderella’s pumpkin were among the characters who made an appearance in school last Thursday.
Activities included a special assembly as well as teachers from the Prep Department reading extracts from their favourite books to the girls.
Although the day was cut short because of the bad weather, the girls had a fun-filled time.
Headmistress Mrs Olivera Raraty said: “World Book Day is always a highlight of the school calendar and it was wonderful to see all the girls and Prep staff dressed up as their favourite characters.”
