MALVERN is to feature in a new history documentary series fronted by bushcraft and survival expert Ray Mears.

Ray travels around the country as part of Ancient Britain which starts tomorrow.

During his journey back in time he heads to the Malvern Hills in search of early warfare.

He also visits some mysterious footprints in Happisburgh in Norfolk as he charts the course of human development through changes in technologies that changed people’s approaches to building, hunting, living and fighting.

He will return in the autumn with a follow up show entitled ‘Invasion’.

Ray said: “I’ve always been a firm believer that the past informs the present and can provide a guide to the future.

“Across these films, I’m excited to be getting to grips with ideas and practices of our ancestors in the hope of shedding some light on our nation’s earliest histories.”

The documentary is available on History Hit TV – a subscribable channel.
