Malvern Town Council to host online talks to mark White Ribbon Day

MALVERN Town Council will be marking White Ribbon Day with a series of online talks, panel discussions and interviews running throughout the day.

White Ribbon Day, on November 25 is an internationally recognised day dedicated to raising awareness about violence against women and girls.

The day aims to encourage people to take an active role in ending it.

Malvern Town Council will be sharing a variety of resources in the form of short, pre-recorded videos from a variety of charities and organisations supporting the campaign.

This will then be followed by a pre-recorded panel discussion hosted by town Coun Emma Green and Coun Josephine Leibrandt highlighting what violence can look like, who it affects and how to get help.

Coun Green said:“I am proud that Malvern Town Council has decided to mark White Ribbon Day this year.

“I really hope that the resources that will be shared during the day will help and support the people within Malvern.

“I would love to see the residents of Malvern getting involved in this journey to promote ending violence and would encourage anyone to join us virtually on the day to understand more.”

All the resources will be available via the Malvern Town Council YouTube channel and social media accounts throughout the day.
