A MALVERN based wills service has helped raise £3 million for an air ambulance charity thanks to its decade long fundraising campaign.
Wills and Legal Services in Malvern has announced its Wills Campaign – where wills are offered to clients in exchange for a donation to the County Air Ambulance HELP Appeal – has brought in £3 million for the charity.
The charity is the only in the country dedicated to funding hospital and air ambulance base helipads.
To date there have been over 28,000 landings on 50 HELP Appeal funded hospital helipads across the country, enabling seriously ill patients to be treated by specialist staff immediately after landing at hospital.
This time saving helps save lives, but there are still over 50 helipad projects in the pipeline which will cost £55 million to build or upgrade.
“We are overwhelmed by the extraordinary response to our fundraising campaign,” said Wills & Legal Services’ founder, Tony Watson.
“This achievement is a testament to the generosity and compassion of our clients who have contributed to the HELP Appeal’s lifesaving work.”
The Wills and Legal Services’ Wills Campaign is an ongoing initiative, available throughout the year to anyone wishing to get their affairs in order whilst also helping a cause close to so many people’s hearts.
Will purchasers are recommended to make a £40 donation to the County Air Ambulance Trust HELP Appeal.
“We are immensely grateful to Wills and Legal Services and its clients for this remarkable fundraising effort,” said Sally Abbott, Head of Fundraising at the County Air Ambulance Trust HELP Appeal.
“Their ongoing support is having a transformative impact on our ability to save lives by building helipads beside emergency departments. We are undoubtedly helping to achieve a better outcome for air ambulance patients.”
