DOG OWNERS are being urged to submit pictures of their four-legged friends enjoying a day out in the Malverns as part of a new photography competition.
The #MalvernMutt begins on Friday and will run until August 31.
It has been organised by Visit The Malverns in partnership with Worcestershire-based dog food company Fish4Dogs.
To get involved, participants will need to take a photo of their dog out and about walking or enjoying a day out in The Malverns.
It includes the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Malvern Chase, the Teme Valley, as well as the towns of Malvern, Tenbury Wells and Upton-upon-Severn.
Photos will then need to be posted on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #MalvernMutts.
Alternatively, they can be emailed to [email protected] and it will be shared on the Visit The Malverns accounts.
The winner of the best photo, announced on September 4, will receive a Fish4Dogs hamper full of dog treats and dog food worth over £100.
Coun Beverley Nielsen, Malvern Hills District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Economic Development, said: “We can’t wait to see the many Malvern Mutts enjoying our stunning scenery or sitting at one of our dog friendly venues.
“This photo competition is a great opportunity to showcase the beauty of our district and support our local businesses.”
