Two students who sat the maths exam a year early received A and A* grades.

Vice principal Wendy Roberts said the high results were something to be proud of and she expected many students to secure their chosen university places.

The college had recently received a 100 per cent pass rate for the medical foundation entrance exams in June.

Five different medical schools offered one student a place and another achieved 100 per cent in chemistry and physics and 98 per cent in biology.
