A CENTURY old men’s choir in Malvern is calling for support to help fund a new set of environmentally friendly uniforms.
Malvern Male Voice Choir are calling on the community and local businesses for support in kitting their performers out with new sustainable uniforms for their performances.
The Choir is upgrading its worn uniforms with modern, eco-friendly jackets made from 100 per cent recycled plastic bottles. Their signature uniform has taken the form of grey jackets, in a nod to performer’s history of wearing sharp suits within the choir.
“We want to continue representing Malvern with pride and dignity at regional events,” said a representative of the Choir. “Our new uniforms will enhance our image while staying true to our values of sustainability and community connection.”
A grant from Malvern Town Council has already kickstarted the effort, and the choir is now looking to raise an additional £1,500 to match the funding and complete the uniform purchase.
In return for sponsorship, businesses or private individuals will be offered benefits such as complimentary tickets and much more.
“Whether it’s a small donation or a full sponsorship, every contribution makes a difference,” the representative added. “It’s an opportunity to support local culture, promote sustainability, and build lasting ties with a cherished community institution.”
