AN OPEN rehearsal for ‘Singing into Spring’ will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Link Top, Malvern, on Friday, March 4.
Admission is free for the session which starts at 7.30pm and is open to everyone who will be able to sing music of all ages with the choir as it prepares for an exciting season.
Extracts from Faure’s Requiem will be sung as well and the rehearsals will also include music by Beethoven and something from Handel’s Messiah.
The two-hour event will start with some easy going English music and will also include a more challenging 21st century piece too.
The evening at Holy Trinity will also include a half time cuppa.
Charles Pavey, Organist and Choirmaster at Holy Trinity Church, said: “We usually hold an open rehearsal every year although, not surprisingly, the last one was before the pandemic.
“The Core Choir returned to singing every week by the autumn of last year with an augmented choir returning in time for Christmas.
“However, like every choir across the globe, there is a need to stabilise and rebuild after the last two years, so all will be welcome.”
He urged people to turn up and join as the choir put the winter behind it and looked forward to spring.
