Malvern's Wetherspoon pub The Foley Arms flushed with success after winning 'platinum' in Loo of the Year Awards

MALVERN’S Wetherspoon’s pub The Foley Arms Hotel is flushed with success after winning a platinum award for the quality and cleanliness standards of its toilets.

The venue, on Worcester Road, was highlighted in the 2021 Loo of the Year Awards with the toilets judged against numerous criteria, including décor and maintenance, cleanliness, accessibility, hand washing and drying equipment and overall management.

Inspectors visit thousands of toilets across the country each year and The Foley Arms’ were found to be among the best.

Grades include silver, gold, platinum or diamond with unacceptable toilets not giving any grade at all.

The Foley Arms Hotel manager Matthew Wear said: “We are delighted with the award.

“Staff at the pub ensure the toilets are in excellent condition at all times and it is great that this has been recognised by the inspectors.”

The Loo of the Year Awards 2021 managing director, Becky Wall, added: “The toilets at The Foley Arms Hotel have been designed and fitted out to a very high standard and are both clean and well maintained.

“The pub deserves its platinum award.”
