A MAN was airlifted to hospital after a crash knocked him unconscious.

An ambulance, a rapid responder paramedic and the air ambulance attended the scene on Tewkesbury Road, Upton upon Severn, shortly after 10.30am on Monday (February 10).

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said on arrival crews had found a man who was disorientated following a crash and also had a head injury.

“It is believed the man, who was in his 20s, had been knocked unconscious in the collision but had regained consciousness before ambulance crews arrived. The man was out of his vehicle.

“Ambulance crews treated the man for an open wound to the back of his head and his reduced level of consciousness. His condition was stabilised and he was air lifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.”

No one in the second vehicle was injured.
