A MAN has been arrested in connection with an indecent exposure in Colwall.

The 21-year-old victim was running along Flapgate Lane about 7.30pm on Friday, July 31, when she saw a man on his bike who passed her and then stopped.

She continued her run but the man followed her on his bike and made lewd comments to her before cycling off towards Wellington Heath.

About five minutes later the victim was at the Ledbury and Wellington Heath junction where the man exposed himself and committed a ‘distressing’ act.

Police said he was white, slim to medium build, aged 23 to 24, with orange/red facial hair, 5ft 11ins, wearing a light coloured cycling helmet, white t-shirt and two-tone bright blue and coloured board shorts.

PC Matthew Davis said: “These types of incidents can be very distressing and we take them very seriously.

“I would urge anyone else who has been a victim of a similar offence to come forward and report it to us.”

A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and bailed until September 22.

Anyone who has been a victim of a sexual offence or who has experienced a similar incident can call 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
