Man left injured after being hit by fleeing car at Malvern petrol station

A MAN was hit by a car which was fleeing from a Malvern petrol station so the driver could avoid paying for fuel.

West Mercia Police has announced the shocking details of the incident which took place at the Sunnylodge BP garage on the Worcester Road just before 7pm yesterday (Sunday).

Police were called to the location after a red Ford Ka was in collision with the man and another vehicle as it made off without paying for fuel.

The 27-year-old man suffered minor leg and back injuries and was treated by ambulance crews at the scene.




The driver of the Ka is described as a white man in his forties, slim build, 5ft 9ins tall and wearing a light brown, beanie hat.

The passenger was a white man in his 60s.


Police investigating the incident are reviewing CCTV footage and want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and have information.
