Man punched in face while walking son home from school

A MAN was punched in the face while walking home after collecting his son from school in Malvern.

The incident happened at Yates Hay Road at 3.40pm on Tuesday (January 14).

A couple in a silver/grey people carrier pulled up and a man got out and started threatening the victim who punched punched in the face soon afterwards.

The man continued his threats as the victim, who received facial injuries, and his son walked away.




A 35-year-old man from Malvern has been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm and released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Police investigating the incident are appealing for any witnesses to come forward with any information.


PC Frances Thorpe of Malvern Police said: “It is believed the people involved knew each other and the incident was part of a long-running dispute.

“However, we are very keen to talk to anyone who was in the Yates Hay Road area of Malvern around the time when this assault took place.”
