ONE OF the nation’s most traditional car makers held a big celebration this weekend to mark 100 years based in Malvern.
More than 4,000 people took to the special event on Sunday (July 13) hosted by Morgan Motor Company which were marking the landmark anniversary in style.
The firm, who are renowned for making unique sports cars over the decades, are actually 105 years old but its Malvern based factory at Pickersleigh Road has now been going for a century.
Live music was performed on the day by the Worcester Male Voice Choir and Random Numbers Saxophone Quartet
The celebratory event had something for all the family also offering attractions such as fairground rides, factory tours, race car simulators, children’s face painting and a number of trade stands.
A spokesman from Morgan Motor said: “This was a very successful event to celebrate a huge milestone for the oldest privately owned car manufacturer in the world.”
Also helping to mark the occassion were more than 100 Morgan cars showcased at the Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb on Saturday (July 12).
