NATIONAL treasure and baking expert Mary Berry will be the headline guest at a Malvern festival next year, it has been announced.
The Great British Bake Off star will be one of the star visitors when the town’s Spring Festival is staged at the Three Counties Showground.
TV presenter and gardening expert Alan Titchmarsh will also star during the four-day event, which kicks off at the popular venue on Thursday, May 5.
Berry has become well known to millions of viewers following the huge success of the award-winning BBC One baking show, becoming a household name.
Titchmarsh is also known to millions of television viewers presenting shows such as Gardeners World, Ground Force and his self named chat show on ITV.
Venue bosses have expressed their delight to get the pair signed up for next year’s festival and said more details will be announced in due course.
Ken Nottage, chief executive of the Three Counties Showground, said: “We are over the moon to announce that the Godfather of Gardening, Alan Titchmarsh and the National Treasure that is Mary Berry will be heading up the celebrity line up at RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2016.
“Garden greats and foodie favourites will be appearing alongside Alan and Mary in what is shaping up to be a fantastic show.
