May half-term family fun Croome

Malvern Editorial 19th May, 2024   0

FAMILIES looking for something to do during the upcoming May half-term can head to their local National Trust venue.

Whether you want to delve into history or discover nature, there’s plenty to entertain your little explorers and let imaginations run wild.

Depending on the property or venue there will be miles of landscapes to explore, historic homes, gardens and landscapes on the warm and breezy spring days.

At Croome Court, nature based activities will be the focus. Visitors can explore the grounds to find seven scent boxes. Each scent aims to create reminiscent nostalgia. Participants will also be tasked with matching different leaf shapes to the trees they belong to.

Activity sheets cost £1.50 and include a notebook and pencil to draw or write about things you spot during your visit. Booking is not required, normal admission applies.

At Greyfriars House and Garden in Worcester visitors can explore and admire gardens full of early summer flowers in the walled garden while enjoying a bite to eat in the Old Oak Cafe.

Visitors can also explore the second-hand bookshop and discover 500 years of history inside the house.

Booking is not required for these events, normal admission applies.

Visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk for all the properties and venues across Worcestershire and what is on offer at each one.
