A MEMORIAL Service has been arranged for Upton Rugby Club’s fixtures secretary Nigel Banwell following his sudden death nine days ago.
The service will be held at the Holly Mount United Reformed Church, Queens Drive, Great Malvern on Friday, February 10 at 1pm.
Nigel, 68, collapsed while he was putting out the flags at his club Upton on Severn before their Midlands Three West South local derby against Evesham.
Parking in the area is very limited and it is suggested that those attending use the car park in the town centre.
There will be a private cremation for Nigel before the Memorial Service.
Nigel leaves a widow, Jane, a son Oliver, who coaches Upton, and daughter Ruth, who lives in Australia.
Upton Rugby Club have been left devastated following the passing of Mr Banwell which came just two weeks after the club lost one of its most talented players Nathan Tomkins at the age of 22.
