Met Office issues yellow weather warning for heavy rain across Malvern

A YELLOW weather warning for heavy rain has been issued for Malvern in the next 48 hours as Storm Ciaran sweeps the West and South of England.

According to the Met Office, there is up to a 90 per cent chance of heavy rain starting at 9pm tonight (November 1) and continuing until midnight on Friday, November 3.

People are being warned about spray and flooding on roads which, along with the effect on bus and train services, could make journey times longer.

The conditions are likely to impact on tomorrow’s morning rush hour.

The Met Office also warns that homes and businesses could flood.

The Met Office has also issued advice on how to stay safe in heavy rain and on how to deal with flooding.




An amber weather warning for wind has been issued for South Wales and the south of England as the storm intensifies on Thursday.

Outlook for the weekend

The rain looks to clear up on Friday, with the only signs of rain over the weekend being on Saturday morning through to the afternoon.


Sunday looks dry, while temperatures over the weekend will see highs of 11 degrees and lows of seven.
