Money stolen during armed robbery in Malvern

BASEBALL bat-wielding thieves made off with a large amount of cash following an ATM robbery in Malvern.

Two people were refilling the machine at the Co-op store on Upper Howsell Road about 11am on Monday (April 20) when they were attacked by the suspects holding the weapons.

The offenders made off in a light blue or silver Mazda saloon. One of them was a man, about 5ft 10ins tall and of average build. He was wearing a balaclava.

No one was seriously injured during the robbery.
