MORE than 100 former pupils attended a special reunion of the Ellerslie Old Girls, hosted by The Malvernian Society.
The event was held at the Audley Ellerslie luxury retirement village enabling the visitors to have a tour of the former school site and reminisce over afternoon tea.
The Ellerslie Mansions, one of which is Grade II listed, were first built in 1855.
The site was for many years the girls’ private school Ellerslie, subsequently taken over by Malvern College. The buildings remained in the use of the school until 2008.
Audley Ellerslie will provide a mix of 101 one, two and three bedroom new-build and restored properties for the over 60s.
The development will be centred around the Audley Club, one of the three sympathetically restored Victorian mansions which offers a restaurant, bar/bistro and spa, accessible to both owners and the neighbouring community.
James Cahill, Audley Ellerslie Sales Manager, said: “Holding the Ellerslie Old Girls reunion was a lovely occasion and the perfect opportunity to showcase the newly renovated site to the former pupils.
“Audley Ellerslie gives our owners the chance to live among this great deal of history, while offering beautiful and secure living in retirement.”
Audley Ellerslie welcomed its first owners in spring 2017 following the completion of the first phase of development.
