THIS unforgettable image shows a Morgan Motor car like never before when it appeared on one of the world’s most famous TV shows – The Simpsons.

Bosses of Malvern’s flagship firm have said they are ‘hugely’ flattered after an animated version of one of their manufactured three-wheeler vehicles featured on a brand new episode which was recently screened on American television.

The show guest-starred American TV presenter and car enthusiast Jay Leno who owns a Morgan Motor Company car to his vast collection of vehicles.

In the episode, Leno stops by the Simpsons’ famous Springfield home to purchase the classic Morgan Motor Company vehicle that Homer somehow owns.

The show sees Homer showing off the unique car going from one lane to another while greeting fellow drivers.

Car enthusiast Leno is one of American TV’s most famous faces having hosted The Tonight Show – one of America’s biggest TV shows.

In the episode Leno tells a stunned Homer after surprisngly knocking on his door: “I was just passing in my 1973 Citroen DS Pallas when I saw that classic Morgan with that original wood dash interior. Man, I’d like to buy it.”

Homer replies: “You have to pay cash but no questions asked” before Leno responds with ‘What do you want?’ Homer then hilariously shouts back: “I said no questions.”

Later in the episode after receiving a handful of cash, Homer looks on as Leno takes away the car saying: “This car is a piece of art going where it will be admired for my secret underground car depository.”

The episode was shown on American channel FOX on Sunday, May 8 but it is currently unknown when it will appear on UK television.

Morgan bosses said they were thrilled to be part of the show.

James Gilbert, Morgan Motor Company spokesman, said: “It is hugely flattering for us.

“As the longest running cartoon ever, the Simpsons is totally iconic and to have the 3 Wheeler included, is fantastic.

“This came about through our customer Jay Leno, who features heavily in the episode. Jay owns a new and an original 3 Wheeler, and it is through him that we are featured.

“As far as we’re aware, it’s the first time we have featured in The Simpsons.”

The Simpsons has been entertaining families for decades since the late 1980s.

This is not the first time Worcestershire has been linked to the famous show. In one episode a reference is made to ‘Worcestershire Sauce’ in an advert which Bart Simpson watches on the TV.

Famous Malvern resident Charles William Dyson Perrins, who the town’s Dyson Perrins Academy is named after, is the son of James Dyson Perrins – the owner of the Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce factory and the grandson of William Perrins who co-originated the secret recipe.
