MALVERN MP Harriett Baldwin joined a popular town brewery to celebrate International Beer Day.
The Friday Beer Company’s founders Gerald Williams and Perry Jackson briefed the MP on its recent successes including deals to stock their products at Waitrose and Morrisons supermarkets.
They have recently added to their product range by producing a new lager and a pilsner made with Malvern water.
“I have kept in close touch with the Friday Beer Company since its formation and it is very pleasing to see them doing so well,” said Mrs Baldwin.
“As it was International Beer Day last week, I took the opportunity to drop in and listen to the team’s plans for expansion and international sales too.
“The company has access to some of the finest hops in the world, which are grown locally, and it was great to hear the company is now using our famous Malvern water in their production process.
“I look forward to seeing the company grow further and have offered my support as they look to new markets to sell their local product.”
