MALVERN MP Harriet Baldwin will be joining Malvern Hills District Council in the next few weeks as she supports a number of green activities taking place throughout Lent.
Mrs Baldwin is one of 40 MPs embarking on a series of environmental challenges across the country, including litter picking, buying fruit and vegetables without plastic wrapping and shopping locally to reduce food miles.
She said she was inspired to take on the Lent challenge this time last year by local schoolchildren who expressed their fears over the damage plastic bags and bottles were doing to the environment.
