POLICE have been teaming up with council representatives and Trading Standard across the Malvern Hills to tackle rouge traders in the area.
Last week, Malvern and Upton Safer Neighbourhood Team were joined by Worcestershire Tradings Standards and Malvern Hills District Council to visit victims of rogue traders and drop in on companies to check legitimacy.
The day was described as a positive one by the agencies involved, with various follow up inquiries set to be held to ensure several companies are operating correctly in Malvern and Upton.
West Mercia Police have advised people not to have work carried out by people who knock on their door or phone you to generate business. Ideally, residents should find recommended traders or seek out a trusted one themselves.
Residents have been urged to contact Trading Standards on 03454 04 05 06 as soon as you are notified of a doorstep trading crime.
