NATIONAL Trust are calling on visitors to its latest festive attractions as winter closes in and the Christmas season approaches.
This festive season, Croome invites you to immerse yourself in a magical Christmas experience inspired by nature.
Visitors to the National Trust house and parkland near Pershore can explore the festively decorated rooms of the Court’s ground floor and discover ‘Rapturous Delight’, a specially commissioned, immersive video projection celebrating Croome’s landscape through the seasons.
Rapturous Delight, which runs from December6 to 22, is inspired by Croome’s ‘Pages from Nature’ theme, celebrating the 200-year anniversary of the publication of the Hortus Croomensis – a 19th century guidebook to Croome’s wonderful parkland and instrumental in the parkland’s restoration.
Rapturous Delight has been created by Leo & Hyde – a digital arts, music and theatre company – in partnership with audiovisual design and technology organisation, Focal Studios.
Leo Mercer, creative producer and writer of Leo & Hyde said: “It’s very exciting to develop a projection experience in response to the Hortus Croomensis for Croome this Christmas.
“The Long Gallery is so full of visual inspiration, and then on top of that, the Hortus Croomensis is full of delightful imagery.
“It’s a real Christmas treat for our team to be responding to it with a visual feast of a projection experience. We can’t wait to share the fruits in a few weeks’ time.”
Organisers say Leo & Hyde have brought these to life in the most creatively captivating way, whilst the team has worked tirelessly to create experiences that will excite and delight our visitors throughout the festive season.
“We can’t wait to share it,” said Jenine McGaughran, Creative Producer, National Trust.
There are a host of other festive themed events at National Trust Croome. Visit nationaltrust.org.uk/croome for more information.
