NatWest returns to Malvern for one day a week

NATWEST bank, which closed its branch in town earlier this year, has returned to Great Malvern – but only for one day a week.

The Church Street branch shut its doors in June and the site has since been bought by Malvern Town Council.

However, NatWest will now be back in town every Tuesday with newly-appointed community banker Nicky McHale at Malvern Library between 10am to 1pm.

A mobile bank will also be parked outside the Graham Road library every Tuesday from 1pm to 2pm.

Nicky has worked for NatWest for more than 30 years across Worcestershire having started her career at the bank’s Malvern branch in 1984.

She has most recently worked as a branch manager.

Nicky said: “I’m excited to have the opportunity to develop a strong relationship with our customers in Malvern, helping to ensure that NatWest remains an important part of its many thriving communities.

“The impact of technological changes on the way people bank with us has been dramatic but we’re also aware that not everyone is comfortable with these changes.

“In my role as community banker, I’m looking forward to hosting regular events at local venues to help educate customers on being financially fit, training them on the different ways to bank in a digital world and how they can protect themselves from fraudsters.”
