THE NEW Ledbury library proved itself popular with queues lining up outside its doors.
Residents excited to see the new library now at The Master’s House, on Bye Street, were pleased to join staff to celebrate the next chapter of the building’s life.
Area Manager Mary Coldman tested the self-service machine herself which customers can use their existing library cards on to check-in and return books by using the bar codes.
The interior has been thoughtfully decorated with user-friendly lighting and signs designed to allow the historic building to be complemented by the new library.
The library will be open from 9.30am until 4.30pm on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 10am until 6pm on Wednesdays and between 9.30am andl 12.30pm on Saturdays. It will be closed on Wednesday and Sundays.
The date for the official opening is expected to take place within the next few weeks.
