A NEW community market is opening in Poolbrook in October.
Poolbrook Village Hall will be home to the market on the second Sunday of the month (October 8) from 10.30am to 1.30pm and aims to support local traders and give residents a friendly and sustainable place to shop.
Stalls will offer locally produced fruit and veg, freshly baked organic bread, cakes, savoury items, jams and preserves, eggs, cheese, drinks and local crafts whilst a pop up cafe will run alongside the market.
Organisers hope the market will maintain a low carbon footprint with local traders and local people in attendance.
Left over perishable stock from vendors will be encouraged to be donated to Malvern Green Space.
It is hoped the market can continue through winter into March 2024.
There will be a raffle on the day with the proceeds going to a different local charity each month.
The event is indoors so will not be weather dependent.
