THE FLOODLIGHTS at Malvern Town’s HDAnywhere Community Stadium are to be upgraded to help improve spectators’ matchday experience at evening and winter fixtures.
The Hillsiders’ clubhouse is already undergoing an £80,000 revamp and now the club have announced it’s new floodlights will be powered by an ultra-bright LED system within weeks.
Club bosses have also stated the new system will help the club save money in the long term.
Malvern Town’s managing director Chris Pinder said: “Although there is a hefty financial outlay in upgrading the floodlights, the upgrade is very much needed.
“Over a period of five to ten years the investment in LED should have repaid itself in bill savings when compared to traditional fluorescent options.
“The club’s energy bills should instantly be reduced to below a third of what they are currently.”
