A NEW pet store which is set to open in Malvern at the end of this month received more than 450 applicants for the 14 jobs up for grabs.
Seeking local people for animal grooming and veterinary roles, Pets at Home is set to open on Thursday, March 30 in Malvern Shopping Park.
Pets at Home Malvern will provide thousands of pet products, catering for dogs, cats, small animals, chickens, birds and fish as well as wildlife.
The store will also feature a Groom Room which offers a wide range of services including microchipping, nail clipping or a full bath and blow dry.
A Vets4Pets veterinary surgery and an adoption centre, run by independent charity, Support Adoption For Pets, will also open.
Peter Reis, area manager for Pets at Home, said: “There was a strong demand from Malvern pet owners for Pets at Home to come to town, and we’re very pleased to have been able to grant them their wish.
“Pets at Home is committed to recruiting from the local area and I’m pleased we’ve found a team of talented individuals in Malvern.
“They’re all extremely passionate about pets and can’t wait to get started.”
