A NEW Post Office branch has been launched at Bromsberrow Heath.

The outreach service started on Thursday and is based within The Shop at Bromsberrow and is open between 10am and noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

It is located 150 metres from the former branch, which closed in October 2014 following the retirement of the postmaster.

Jan Long, board member for The Shop, said: “I am delighted that the Post Office is opening a hosted outreach service at our community shop.”

Leighton Barratt, Post Office field change advisor, added: “We understand how important having a Post Office is to residents in Bromsberrow and we are confident the hosted outreach service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.

“This is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office, and marks a commitment to no more branch closure programmes.”
