A NEW Sainsbury’s Local store is set to be built as part of Persimmon’s Malvern Vale residential development.
The 4,000 sq ft store off Leigh Sinton Road will form part of the neighbourhood centre within the 800-home site on land formerly owned by aerospace and defence company QinetiQ.
Hinton Properties is buying a 0.3 acre site where the new store will be built. The purchase is expected to be complete before the end of the year, with building work on the store to start in the New Year with completion scheduled for spring 2015.
Sainsbury’s has agreed a 15-year lease on the property.
