New YMCA shop comes to town

Malvern Editorial 18th Feb, 2014 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

A NEW YMCA charity shop will be opening in Great Malvern tomorrow.

It will be based on Church Street and be welcoming visitors from Wednesday, February 19.

The charity is temporarily leasing the former Dorothy Perkins store which has been vacant since last summer.

James Preece, district retail manager for YMCA England, said the store would be the first charity shop in the town to sell furniture as well as clothes and bric-a-brac.

“We are really excited to be opening a new temporary YMCA shop in Malvern.

“We would like to invite local people to come in and visit us as soon as we are open and would greatly appreciate anyone interested in volunteering and making a donation.”
