Odds on you'll love the Colwall Players' hilarious sporting romp 'Ladies' Day'

Malvern Editorial 20th Oct, 2022   0

A PLAY which centres on four women whose fortunes change when they head to Ladies’ Day at York Races will be performed from next Thursday to Saturday, October 27 to 29, at Colwall Village Hall.

Ladies Day by Amanda Whittington follows fish-filleting foursome Pearl, Jan, Shelley and Linda who find life one long hard slog.

But their factory hairnets, overalls and wellies make way for fancy hats, best frocks and high-heels as they head out to the races for an unforgettable day out. Along the way secrets are spilled with the Champagne and their friendships are tested to the limit.

As the day unfolds, despite the laughs, tempers begin to fray but their accumulator bet keeps on quietly winning. So, if their luck and their nerve holds, the ladies could hit the jackpot and more.

The show is billed as a ‘sporting romp which is as much fun as a day at the races but far better value for money’.
