STRAWBERRIES, stalls and summer sunshine will all be on the agenda when a care home hosts a picnic-themed fête this weekend.
Beechwood Residential Care Home in Upton are set to put on the event on Sunday (August 16) when people can attend the Holly Green site to celebrate summer with residents and staff.
Vintage hampers, gingham blankets, sandwiches, cakes and a bouncy castle will be on offer along with live music from A Pinch of Pepperpots and singer Kevin Grainger.
Carole Hall, the home’s manager, told the Observer: “Our residents really enjoy it when we throw open the doors for people from the local community to share a special day with us.
“Do come and celebrate the summer and join us for what promises to be a lovely day.”
The fête runs from 2pm to 5pm.
