A FRESH appeal has been put out for information into online footage, which appears to show a ferret being harmed and may have been filmed in Worcestershire.

Animal welfare charity RSPCA has been given footage appearing to show a ferret being repeatedly hit, bitten, and harmed through rough handling.

The RSPCA has reshared images of a man they believe could help support their ongoing enquiries.

RSPCA Animal Rescue Officer Freya Lamb, who is investigating for the charity, said:  “We’re asking anyone who recognises the man in the pictures to contact us. We’d like to speak to him as we believe he may hold vital information.

“We’re not sure where the video was taken although it’s thought to be either Worcestershire or Devon.

“The footage, which we’re not able to share, shows the ferret being repeatedly harmed so it’s important to us to find out what happened, and check on the wellbeing of the  ferret involved.”

Call 0300 123 8018 quoting reference number 01720902 to report any information to the RSPCA.
