AN OPEN day is being held for the new £8million state-of-the-art Windsor Court care home which is due to open in Great Malvern in the summer.

The event takes place from 10am to 3pm next Saturday, May 22, at the Windsor Court showroom in Church Street – close to where the home which is almost completed is.

Individuals and families interested in places at the new home can meet the team and discover more about its five-star facilities and ethos of ‘expansive living.’

There is a mock-up of a bedroom and the corner of a lounge have been created to give people a sense of how the new home will look and feel.

Windsor Court Care Home Manager Zoe Miller said: “The level of interest in Windsor Court has been really high, with a number of rooms already spoken for, but there is a real appetite for more details.

“This is a great opportunity to offer people a real insight into what they can expect when we open our doors.

“I’m really excited to be able to share the vision we have for Windsor Court.

“We are creating something truly exceptional here – incredible facilities, the best team, the right ethos.

“We are building a vibrant, welcoming home where people can feel excited about beginning a fulfilling and happy chapter in their lives.”

Guests will be welcomed with refreshments, including a glass of prosecco, and have the opportunity to chat with the team, including the care home manager Zoe Miller, as well as the hospitality manager and other heads of department who are now in place.

Visitors can view the floor plans for the home, read the recent newsletter and ask any questions they have.

Every guest will also be given a voucher for a complimentary cream tea at the Windsor Court Bistro, to be redeemed when the home opens.

Windsor Court, on course to be opened this summer by the Maria Mallaband Care Group, will provide 51 en-suite rooms, lounges, restaurants, and communal areas. There will also be a bistro and bar, hair salon, and eight-seat cinema which will be open to the community as well as residents (restrictions permitting).

The showroom is being operated in a Covid-safe way and has remained open as per the government restrictions.
