BRAVE Oscar Saxelby-Lee and his family have been handed a huge boost in the youngster’s fight against T-Cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia with the news he is once again free of the disease.

Proud parents Olivia Saxelby and Jamie Lee shared the update on their Facebook page along with a video of the little boy who has captured the hearts of Worcestershire residents and beyond.

It follows Car-T therapy in Singapore made possible by a successful £500,000 crowd-funding campaign for treatment.

While the family are rejoicing at the news, the brave Pitmaston Primary School pupil has a number of hurdles ahead as he looks to win his fight against the savage form of the disease.

Olivia said: “Our Greatest New. From ‘his disease is too aggressive’ and starting palliative care to ‘MRD negative’. No disease detected.

“We know it’s early days and anything can happen especially with his bone marrow being flat, but for now we are celebrating the news that we never thought we would hear.

“Thank you, Thank you, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all of you for making this possible. We are so, so, so, so, soooooo proud.”

“Although Oscar still needs another bone marrow transplant and we are a long way off full recovery to come home, we are rejoicing at this magical time in our lives!

“Keep going darling boy, this is just the beginning,” she added.
