THE OUTDOOR events due to take place as part of the Great Malvern Christmas Festival has been cancelled because of poor weather forecast on Saturday, November 27.
The announcement was made by the Visit The Malverns Tourist Information Centre which wrote: “It’s with great sadness, that the decision has been made to cancel the outdoor events at the Great Malvern Christmas Festival.”
There will still be in a few festive activities taking place across the town.
Among them are Santa’s Grotto at Great Malvern Library from 10am to 3.45pm, appearances by the animatronic Polar Bear which will now be at Great Malvern Library for all three time slots.
The Green Winter Fair will still go ahead in The Lyttelton Rooms, as will the Augmented Reality ‘Santa Needs You Trail’ Trail and the Christmas Wreath Window Trail.
Great Malvern Priory Church will also be open from 10am from 4pm and hopes to continue with a variety of activities and music performances.
