Packed Christmas programme at church

Malvern Editorial 30th Dec, 2013 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

A PACKED Christmas schedule at Christ Church saw hundreds raised for a variety of causes.

A total of 300 shoeboxes were sent to Belarus, with food bank donations made by the congregation and through Humpty Dumpty nativity plays.

The roof fund was boosted by £500 through a civic concert thanks to the civic society, Lynne Lindner and Carol Green.

A further £250 was raised at the Christmas Carol Concert, with half of the money going to performers Malvern Chase Band’s chosen charity Comet and the other half to the roof fund.

Other events included Riding Lights’ production of Only 80 Miles To Christmas, the annual Christingle Service and the Christmas Eve Communion.

A spokeswoman said: “We wish you all a peaceful 2014 and we would very much like you to join us at our 11am services every Sunday, but not January 5 when we join our friends the Lansdowne Methodists at their Covenant Service.”
