THE ENGLISH Symphony Orchestra have performed their final concert of the year in Malvern.

More than 100 people packed out Christ Church on Friday (November 22) for an all Russian programme performed alongside international artist Tamsin Waley-Cohen.

There was also a pre-concert talk led by principal conductor Ken Woods.

Angie Green from Christ Church, said: “Tamsin Waley-Cohen received rapturous applause for what was truly an inspirational performance.

“It was perfect having the Shostakovich as contrast and Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto was spellbinding.

“We look forward with much enthusiasm to more concerts in 2014, and are proud to be the ESO’s Malvern home.”
