PALESTINE solidarity activists demonstrated outside Waitrose in Great Malvern as part of a nationwide Don’t Buy Apartheid campaign on Saturday.
Ten activists handed out leaflets in front of Waitrose to make people aware of what they can do to boycott Israeli goods.
The leaflets are designed to make people aware of specific products and brands and how they directly support Israel, helping them carry out their illegal occupation of Palestine and genocide in Gaza.
Israeli fresh produce, like avocados, oranges, herbs and dates, is grown in illegal Israeli settlements on stolen Palestinian land. When businesses sell this produce, they are supporting Israel’s land theft and ethnic cleansing.
Other companies that support Israel as it commits a genocide include Coca-Cola, Costa, Pizza Hut, McDonald’s, Starbucks and Domino’s Pizza.
A local Palestine solidarity activist said: “Boycotting Israeli goods and companies who directly support Israel is the bare minimum that we as everyday people can do to help stop the occupation and genocide in Palestine.
“The less money we give to these companies, the less money goes into Israel’s pockets.”
