Malvern Editorial 4th Nov, 2015 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

SCORES of people are expected to gather in Malvern on Sunday (November 8) to remember those who sacrificed themselves during times of war.

A parade along Graham Road will take place from 2pm followed by a Service of Remembrance led by Rev’d Canon John Barr at the War Memorial at Great Malvern Library.

There will also be a wreath laying ceremony and the service will conclude with a final parade from the library to take the salute along Graham Road.

The service is being organised by Malvern Town Council and the Royal British Legion.

Town council bosses are also marking Armistice Day next Wednesday (November 11) from 10.45am at Great Malvern Priory Church.

There will be a two minute silence, followed by a service and cross laying ceremony.

The two minute silence, held at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, marks the end of the First World War.
