A PATRIOTIC pudding night featuring an array of traditional British desserts was a huge success after raising more than £250 for the Worcestershire Association of Carers, writes Henri Bujard.
The event was organised by Rushwick Women’s Institute to mark the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings and a raffle boosted the coffers further.
Vice President Kay Hurn said it was a ‘terrific tribute’ to the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
She said: “We were thrilled that local cadets opened the evening in a parade led by standard bearers from the Royal British Legion, and our singer Sarah led the audience in choruses of nostalgic favourites beautifully.”
