Patrols on county roads after weather warnings

Malvern Editorial 23rd Dec, 2013 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

PATROLS will be out on the county’s roads helping to deal with problems caused by severe weather predicted for today (Monday).

Motorists are being urged to take care after weather warnings for wind and rain were issued by the Met Office for Worcestershire

Gully emptiers from the county council’s highways teams will be dealing with issues as required and tree contractors will be clearing any fallen trees.

Peter Blake, head of integrated transport, said: “We’re responding to any problems as they arise from the forecasted heavy rainfall and high winds. We’ll be constantly monitoring the situation on our roads – with officers and contractors ready to work this evening and through the night if necessary.

“We’d echo the advice to drivers being sent out by our partners. Please take care on the roads and stay safe.”
